King Pizza...They also had a desert pizza which was unmatched anywhere long before others tried to copy it.  Apple, cinnamon, sugar topping (like Toaster Struedel packets) - man that was good.

Heavenly! I remember it well.

King Pizza on MLK across from Lowes, hard to see.

King Pizza... 1979 on College (I think it was about or around where they are building the new Whole Foods grocery) was the greatest...........

1. Umbertos on 21st
2. Andolini's
3. STG
4. Savastanos in Bixby
5. Hideaway (and it is good pizza)

+1
I've not tried the first 3 you listed...pathetic on my part. We eat Savastano's often as it is less than 1/2 mile from our house (as is a Hideaway location) having begun eating there when it first opened at its original small location at 111th & Memorial.

Atlanta Watch Party 2015
« Reply #15303 on: August 31, 2015, 01:10:11 pm »

MODS please move this to the correct area if this is not the right place.

ATTENTION all Atlanta Razorback fans!  NEW OFFICIAL spot for Arkansas Alumni or Arkansas fans in general

The place for Hog fans to watch the games FINALLY inside the perimeter.....is now World of Beer on Peachtree. A more centrally located spot for all of metro Atlanta.  No more having to drive out to the burbs to watch a game with other Hog fans!  If you live "ITP" and want to Call the Hogs with others or you live OTP but up 400 or in Marietta...this will be the place to be each week.  Last year it was in Johns Creek...this year its in the heart of Midtown.

http://worldofbeer.com/Locations/MidtownAtlanta

World of Beer has guaranteed 52 seats and we can take over 22 more! and this is regardless of what UGA and Tech fans are doing the entire year.  They are going to pump the volume so we won't just be watching the game without hearing the action.

Join each week an hour or so before kickoff and wear your Razorback attire.  An Arkansas banner will be located in the Razorback bar area.  If enough fans show each week....the service staff will begin to wear Razorback attire as well.

This weeks game is at 4pm Eastern so plan to arrive anytime between 3pm and 4pm.

Let's get together in the ATL and CALL THOSE HOGS!!!  WPS! Beat the Miners!

I found my old sign on! Thanks ATLhogcallin.

They will allow a banner as well to be hung. For those in the Atlanta area who don't know the history... our locations have sucked. So we really need to turn out to support this or they'll go back to sucking.

Years ago, there were watch parties in Midtown that drew better even though the team was horrible, but that place closed down. They were moved a while back WAYYYY out to the burbs in John's Creek, which is only good if you happen to live there or Alpharetta, but not in Atlanta or anywhere else in the metro area. Needless to say, people didn't go in big numbers.

For those who've not been there, the World of Beer is VERY popular and is packed most of the time. It's kinda a touristy place too as they have new beer menu's all the time. There is a full menu of pub type food and the pretzels are amazing.

I personally invested quite a bit of time this past week and weekend and would be really appreciate some fellow Hog fans support. Let's make this work and kick off a great season with the best location we've had to operate with.

Know Destin well.  Try o'quigleys in the Best Buy strip mall on the south side of Hwy 98 accross highway from Destin Commons.   Multiple TV's, all the networks, great food.  Perfect place to watch any game...

It's not in Destin (it's fairly close), but the Red Bar. Owner is an Arkansas guy. Good restaurant and bar, just not sure how much of 'sports bar' it is though, Call them and ask if they'll have the game on. If they do, you won't regret it.

Anglers is a huge place with lots of TVs. Over 40 HDTVs. Great place to watch football.

Red Bar has better food and atmosphere (better everything, really  8)), but only a few TVs in the bar area.

Not sure where you are staying, but the Crowne Plaza (West end of 630 at I-430, on Shackelford) has a pretty good buffet. They added $7 for our room per night, but we received two breakfast buffets ($20 value) for each night. Full hot breakfast with omelet & waffle stations. Not bad.

Crowne Plaza is probably your best bet.
There are some really good Sunday brunch buffets - Yaya's is one of my favorites.
Red Door (Rebsamon area) - is the only Saturday Brunch I know of - 9 to 2. But it's not a buffet.

Shoney's buffet might be good. The one in West Memphis was pretty good at one time but I haven't been in a while.

Don't know if they have one in LR or not. Guess that doesn't help much either.
