It is usually memorial day. I think it may be the Saturday before memorial day this year.

Didn't they use to announce the top 8 the night before? I may be dreaming on this.

Here is the schedule for Spring sports' selection shows. D1 baseball will be the next to last show followed only by D1 Outdoor track and field. The NCAA site lists these schedules on a seasonal basis.

I know that they’ve  expanded to 16 seeds and paired them accordingly. What about Regional matchups. Is there a method to the parings or is it based off geographical location and money ?

Regional matchups are usually regional - at least, as much as possible ... you'll probably see the first four national seeds have at least one 3/4 seed that travels a long way, but 9-16 are usually pretty localized ...

Its a little hard to predict what happens in the ACCT/SECT.

I could see FSU/NCST/UNC getting a nice bump by winning. The same thing with Ole Miss/Ark/UGA by doing well vs the other being 2&Q.

It's based on rankings. They expanded to 16 team host sites in 1999. There have been several schools that have small stadiums that are top seeds and have hosted numerous schools that have much larger  stadiums. It's not all about the money in college baseball.
