Wow.  That's awesome.  He's among my favorites of all-time razorbacks simply because he played for Arkansas when I was there in college and I knew some of the players.

I don't see him having the personality for it. He's so mild-mannered and even shy, I'd say. But who knows.

Joe Johnson is the best player to EVER wear a Razorback uniform.  The stats don't lie.  He's not my favorite former player and he did not bring us a Final Four during his tenure but to think otherwise is absurd.  Congrats Joe!!

Sure wish he would come back and help seal the borders and create a pipeline via the Hawks. To have Joe Johnson knocking at your door for a visit... That would seal the deal for a lot of parents and prospects even out of state.

Everyone who is on the 20-5-5k list is either a Hall of Famer or will be. If the Rockets win title and Joe contributes then he is in. If not it may take longer but eventually with those stats he gets in.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Kobe Bryant
Michael Jordan
Oscar Robertson
John Havlicek
Kevin Garnett
Jerry West
Lebron James
Clyde Drexler
Gary Payton
Larry Bird
Joe Johnson

RARE Company indeed Note DR J accomplished this but part of his totals are in ABA

Has there ever been anyone 6'4 get more out of himself than Sidney Moncrief?
And wasn't even a great shooter. A scorer, but not a shooter.

The most amazing thing about Moncrief is he STILL the UA's all-time leading rebounder...at 6'4  !!!!!!

You can try to make that argument about after college success, but he wasn't close to the best player to ever wear a razorback uniform while he was in that uniform.

Not really related, but I got a chuckle thinking that MPJ may end up being the "best player to ever wear a Mizzou uniform " for playing in 3 games, scoring 30 career points and going 1-2 in games he played in.

I think Sid is the greatest Hog ever but Joe was the most talented.

A healthy Sidney Moncrief was more talented than Joe.  When healthy, he was a far better athlete with as much skill.  Joe is the better perimeter shooter, but that's his only advantage.  Moncrief is one of the best inside players to ever play the game among guards. He shot 51% on deuces for his career in an era when there was by today's standards a flagrant foul about every other possession.

Moncrief averaged more points per 100 possessions on a higher EFg% than Joe despite being a mediocre three-point shooter and playing his last several years on bone-on-bone knees.  He was much better on the offensive glass.  Joe was slightly better in ballhandling, but he played in a less physical era. On D it isn't even a contest. Sid was an NBA DPOY winner. If Moncrief had had healthy knees for 12 years, he would be considered a top-25 player of all time.  When he was relatively healthy, he was first or second in most statistical categories on the NBA's fourth-best team at the time with the top three (Philly, Lakers, C's) being among the greatest teams of all time.

Corliss Williamson. Period.

1992 McDonald's All-American
1992 Parade All-American
1992-93 SEC All-Freshman Team
1992-93 Sporting News Freshman All-American
1993-94 1st team John Wooden All-American
1993-94 2nd team AP All-American
1993-94 SEC Player of the Year
1993-94 Final 4 1st team, MVP of Final 4

Selected by SI as the #24 player in tournament history in the Top 75 in the 75 years.

24. Corliss Williamson, Arkansas
He was a beast for Nolan Richardson's Razorbacks and the Most Outstanding Player in 1994 Final Four. That year, he led Arkansas to a national title over Duke. That was a Blue Devils crew that featured Grant Hill, Chris Collins, Cherokee Parks and Jeff Capel. Williamson, also known as "Big Nasty," led the Razorbacks to the national championship game the following season, where they lost to UCLA. But he was a critical component in Richardson's "40 minutes of hell" attack. Williamson's Razorbacks were a national icon in the mid-90s via one of the most entertaining programs in recent college basketball history. -- Myron Medcalf

Tournament averages: 15 games     20.2 ppg    7.5 reb    2.8 assists   1.7 steals

Enough said!!

Nice club to be in for Joe.

For all-time points scored he is right at the cutoff for hall of famers. Every player in front of him is either in the Hall or projected to be. Then he sits at #46, Tom Chambers and Antawn Jamison sit right behind him and aren't in the hall.

Advanced metrics aren't as kind to him, his career win shares put him at #138.

I'm sure he'll use some $$$ to wipe his tears.

I didn't say that.  Moncrief was great in the Razorback uniform but he's still not the best.  Corliss Williamson is.  The reason Joe is the best former hog in the league is his ability to maintain a solid career for 10 + years without injury issues.  As I said before, the stats do not lie.

It is the "Basketball" Hall of Fame.  It is all Basketball: Women's, NBA, International, College.  That is why Nolan Richardson is a member.

There is no NBA HOF.

There is a Basketball HOF.

It includes your college, your pro (any pro league), and international careers.

There are two former Hog players that deserve to be in the HOF. Sidney and Joe. Itís a travesty that Sidney is not there already. Joe should make it as soon as he is eligible.
