  • Watching the film over and focusing on nothing but the Defense, Hayden Henry will be in the 2 Deep. He covers grown quick, takes good angles and is a SOUND tackler, that also layed the lumber on TJ Hammonds.

To be the middle child and not as Physically gifted as his older and younger brothers, he has a gift on defense. He will be on 2 deep! Wait and see September 1st!

I agree but speed is coming at that hybrid LBer spot. So he better out think and out execute them.

I agree, Myles Mason is going to be hard to beat out if he picks up the Defense mentally, because he has no problem with speed or tenacity!

Lol. This seems to be the general consensus when it comes to just about any white football/basketball player.

It's not always the case but it is 75% of the time. I will say this. I remember being in boys state around 2002 on UCA's campus. We had a dunk contest. I couldn't dunk at 6'0 but we had this average looking kid in our county who was about 5'9(yes he was white) and he was cooler than the other side of the pillow.  He said he was going to enter. We looked at him like the gif below and started laughing. We proceed to the dunk contest and we are hyping him up during warm-ups but honestly waiting to crack jokes on him.  He proceeds to grab the ball and takes two steps and throws it down. We were all shocked.  To this day, I have never seen a guy(white or black) who didn't look athletic(wasn't overweight or anything) at that height dunk so effortlessly.  I say that to say this, never judge a book by its cover...............especially in athletics.

And some are Tanner English fast.

Actually, no one is Tanner English fast.

    Except Tanner English.

  • I think he should be in the 2 deep. But I fear he may not get as much of a shot as others they perceive with more athletic ability, thinking those players will develop with a higher ceiling.

Name calling plus a physical threat?  Cool.

And the same will be said about Cam Vail, and they will be just as wrong.

Henry ran the fastest 40 of all linebackers this spring so maybe the other guys need to be worried. I wouldn't bet against a Henry in a Hog uniform but go ahead if you like.

This is true. Usain Bolt couldn't hold English's jock strap. English should've been a sprinter.

Indeed. He has SEC level athleticism, he just didn't have SEC level height which is what made him a blue shirt.

He didn't get recruited heavily because he was a late bloomer physically and played safety in high school.

You are right, I was confusing him with Morgan who's 5'10 (recruiting sites had him listed at 5'10 though roster has him at 5'11, doubtful anybody undersold his height, so...).

Hayden, otoh, is listed at 6'2. Hayden though was a blueshirt while Morgan was a true walk-on. Morgan, production wise at least, is easily our third best returning LB and played a lot more than Henry. Morgan will likely get his scholarship sooner rather than later.

  • I enjoyed watching him at the Spring game. That young man will bring it. And he was always around the ball.

Barring injury, he is going to definitely see a lot of snaps.

  • I greatly enjoyed watching Hayden Henry play linebacker.  He is clearly gifted.  He is always around the ball and enjoys hitting.  Already said above, but he deserves to hear it again.  Hayden showed out in the Spring game.

With Greenlaw and quite possibly Harris leaving after this season, it sure looks like we'll continue to have a good group of LB's into the future with Morgan, Henry, McClure, allegedly Munson, and with some guys who showed a lot of potential coming out of HS like AJB, LaFrance, Walker, and the new guys like Bumper.
