Well not Hogs. I’m not surprised.

And no one really should be surprised. To say this is a Top 25 team means you think they will be a 5 seed or better in next years NCAA Tournament.

I'm not sure even the biggest supporters believe that is likely.

Auburn will be lower. Mustapha Heron just hired an agent and is seeking to play pro-ball somewhere.

Cleaned thread.... Gentleman please try to stay on topic no matter positive or negative.

Arkansas Freshman are going to lose games they should win and win some they should definitely lose until they have continuity.

We will revisit this post in late January...

Davion Mitchell also is transferring from Auburn

He was a 4-star Top 60 recruit. Heron is gone. They have ZERO signees for 2018. And the FBI is camped out on campus. Their future is on shaky ground. Maybe have a disappointing 2019.

LSU in top 25?  Will Wade has done a great job recruiting so far.  I bet they make the tournament next year and will consistently as long as he is there.

What would that look like with Jones as well.  Would one of the SG's listed play more PG?  Just curious how those minutes might be divided.  I know a lot will depend on how they perform early in the season.

Not sure what you mean by "What would that look like with Jones as well." Mason Jones is listed as the starting SF.

Ridiculous oversight!

But the real question: can he hold a candle to Dee Bost?

We will just have to wait and see.

Saw yesterday on CBSsports.com that Heron is transferring but Brown is coming back.  Bruce Pearl will find a way to screw it up or the lack of character guys he always recruits will do something stupid and get in trouble.

Saw yesterday on CBSsports.com that Heron is transferring but Brown is coming back.  Bruce Pearl will find a way to screw it up or the lack of character guys he always recruits will do something stupid and get in trouble.

They also got Austin Wiley back.

5 SEC teams starting off in the top 25 isn't bad at all.  The SEC should get around 8 teams in this year.

Since most rosters are pretty much complete, I'm thinking the pre-season SEC Polls will looking something like this.

1. Tennessee
2. Kentucky
3. Auburn
4. Mississippi State
5. LSU
6. Florida
7. Missouri
8. Arkansas
9. Vanderbilt
10. Alabama
11. South Carolina
12. Texas A&M
13. Georgia
14. Ole Miss

I think there will be some opportunities for Arkansas, we always outperform projections. I see the polls having us anywhere from 7th-10th.  Which means we'll probably finish like 6th.

I Figure we will come in and around the 11th spot and then finish top seven.

Jontay Porter coming back sure does help, but this will be a transition year for Mizzou.  But year 3 for Cuonzo is looking extremely good.

No way they pick us past 10th.  The teams from 11th-14th are all going to be really bad next year.  TAM losses everything and has the worst recruiting class in the conference.  South Carolina put all their eggs in the Bowen basket and he didn't get cleared to play, they are essentially the same roster from last year minus Frank Booker who their second best player, they'll be a bottom tier team again this year.  Georgia is in completely rebuild with a new coach and same thing goes with Ole Miss.

The top 6 team in conference are pretty much set in stone, so are the bottom 4.  The 7-10 slots with Ark, Missouri, Vandy, and Alabama can go either way.  I lean towards us getting more love in the media/coaches poll simply because of the Daniel Gafford factor, he'll be one of the favorites for SEC POY.

I think Mizzou will be alright next year, Tillmon and Porter will arguably be the best front court in the conference next year.  Plus, Cuonzo always gets the most of what he has.

Wow look at Auburn. Shows what a real coach can do. Lots of SEC teams in this poll which is good news for the league

Heron has transferred.  Their projections have dropped somewhat, though they still have talent.  And we know Auburn gets talent.

Just missed it.  May be the glaucoma.  Time to go to the dispensary.
almost. if this backwards state would follow it's state motto- Regnat populus - and follow our will already, that'd be great.
