  • I know sometimes we have dinners at position coaches houses, but I wonder if CBB (or now, CCM) ever has the guys out to the lake / just hangs out with them.

This video is crazy - never in a million years pictured Saban hanging out on the lake with a bunch of his players.

On his boat...they ran out of gas and were stranded in the middle of the lake 😂

Switzer used to take recruits and players to parties in DFW.  Cocaine, hookers, booze, the whole 9 yards.

Bama fan. Yankees fan. Is there really any difference?

Fat, extraFat, superFat, and drunk Bert is fair game.  Leave QB1/2/3/4 out of your stupid jokes.

  • Saban does this every year.
His summer home is on Lake Burton in NE Georgia. Yes, Georgia. Deep mountain lake up in the hills. Swanky getaway for the well-to-do. All the homes are multi-million dollar.
There is also a golf club there called Waterfall which he is a member of.
Apparently it's not against NCAA rules for players to come visit like that. Obviously it isn't or these photos would never see daylight.
Saban also appeared on David Feherty's interview show once, and they filmed it at his house at Lake Burton.

  • I'll bet if there was a beer bust somewhere in OKC back in the day, and Switzer
was invited, (or not), he would have been there.

But only the ones with pretty MOMS.  Barry loved the women.  Still does.  Him and Bill Clinton have that in common for sure.

  • As far as being surprised about Saban hanging out with the players, i think the image we see of Saban is very different than what he is really like around the team and those that know him well.

Pretty Moms.....reminds me of a situation several years ago. I was helping a friend coach an All-Star team, the league coaches voted on 10 of the 12 players, but the head coach got to pick the last two. Of course we chose the kid with the hot Mom, and then the one with the big pool for the after season party.

Did Coach Chad Morris ever even buy a house in Fayetteville? His family apparently still lives in Texas.

He bought the biggest house for sale, lol. It's about 14,000sq ft, and cost him $3.8M. It's in the same neighborhood that Anderson, Van Horn, and Bielema lived in.

Bielema couldn't get a house with more than one story. Because, well.... stairs...

Donna Sexton started building Morris' new house in 2009.  She never finished it, in 2015 she sold it unfinished for $1.2 million.  They have put a ton of work into it.  Couple of tidbits, it has an elevator between the foyer and the main living area as well as a 1000 sq ft auxiallry kitchen for the "help"...  lots of coaches have and still do live in the neighborhood.
