Jordan Davis commitment

Quote
What was that tweet from 4-star WR target Alontae “Tae” Taylor? He welcomed Davis with a quote tweeting his decision.

But. Taylor. Has. Not. Committed. To. Georgia.

He’s actually set to take the first of his four official visits on Saturday to Athens for the Kentucky game.

Is this sort of like watching the ending of “Pulp Fiction” and knowing what happens in the middle of the movie?

Or was he simply just applauding a fellow recruit who finally found the home that every future college student-athlete seeks for themselves?

'I think people saw the success we had and they saw a lot of the games we played and they want to be part of that winning program.'

Quote
Georgia appeared to have a tremendous day of recruiting wrapped up. Seventeen players -- six being five-star prospects -- decided to sign their letters-of-intent on the first day of the inaugural national early signing period. In a news conference, head coach Kirby Smart expressed his excitement as national reporters lauded over the class he and his staff put together.

Little did anyone know, as late as 6:30 p.m., that the Bulldogs weren't done.

At 6:38 p.m., Georgia announced on Twitter that it had received its 18th national letter-of-intent from four-star defensive back Nadab Joseph, a player who entered the day committed to Alabama. Nearly two hours later at 8:30 p.m., Georgia landed a verbal pledge from four-star outside linebacker Channing Tindall. Tindall's commitment moved Georgia to the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation.

They must have broke a few donors wallets this recruiting cycle.  That is a big payroll they just brought on.

How good is this @FootballUGA signing class?

TE Luke Ford (No. 63 in the 2018 ESPN 300) signed on Thursday.

Ford would be the highest-ranked commitment for 111 FBS programs.

He’s currently the TENTH-highest ranked recruit in Georgia’s 2018 class.

ICYMI: Alabama's streak of No. 1 recruiting classes is over

Quote
Bulldogs secured a commitment from four-star linebacker Quay Walker, who had been committed to the Crimson Tide since June prior to flipping to Georgia Wednesday morning.

Bulldogs had already signed 10 top-100 players entering Wednesday, including six five-star recruits. And they've already added two more big commitments Wednesday -- Walker and five-star cornerback Tyson Campbell.

Walker is the No. 2 outside linebacker and No. 31 overall prospect in this year's recruiting class.

In light of recent developments, should Georgia’s 2018 class still be ranked No. 1? https://sptz.us/2y5sNO1

UGA picks up commitment from 4-star DT Warren Brinson

Courtesy Warren Brinson

Quote
2020 4-star defensive tackle chose the aftermath of Saturday’s thorough dismantling of Georgia Tech to mark that time as his time to commit to Georgia.

Brinson camped at UGA earlier this summer and was offered by the Bulldogs.

Savannah native is now the fourth member of the 2020 recruiting class at Georgia. There are now three defensive line prospects in that class.

Brinson does not have a rating at this time from the 247Sports composite.
